How it Started

City Goes Country Girl

Growing up in a bigger town in Western Nebraska was a defining experience for me. I always knew that I was destined for something greater, that there was a bigger calling out there waiting for me. And so, after graduating high school, I packed my bags and headed off to the University of Wyoming, where I earned a minor in Health Promotion.

But that was just the beginning. I knew that I had to keep pushing myself, keep striving for more. And so, I continued on to Weber State University, where I graduated with a degree in Radiation Therapy. It was a challenging path, but I persevered, knowing that every step was taking me closer to my ultimate goal.

After graduation, my journey led me to South Dakota, where I worked at a cancer facility. But it wasn't the right fit for me, and I soon found myself drawn to a new adventure. For over 10 years, I sold supplemental insurance to farmers, building strong relationships with the hardworking people who make our country great.

And then, fate intervened. I met my husband on a blind date during my career with selling insurance, and and I wasn't about to let him go. We were married the following year, and soon welcomed two incredible little boys into our lives. Together, we are living on my husband's 5th generation family farm, raising our children to be strong and independent, just like their father.

But it wasn't until 2020, one of the most challenging years of our lives, that I truly found my purpose. (Read Below) I realized that life is too short to do anything other than what you were put on this Earth to do. And so, I dug deep and found my passion - serving the amazing Ag community in more ways than I could have ever imagined.

Through my Farm Fit Training community, I have found purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. I am surrounded by like-minded individuals who share my commitment to living a physically and mentally healthy life, and who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the world.

I've been through a lot of challenges recently, and looking back, I can hardly believe I've made it this far. On March 19th, 2020, my family lost our home to a fire that took everything we owned. It was devastating, and I won't lie - it was one of the toughest things I've ever gone through.  And if that wasn't enough, Covid-19 hit. It felt like the world was falling apart around us, but my family and I decided to take it one day at a time. We kept pushing forward, even when it felt like everything was against us.

But then, something unexpected happened. I realized that all those years of working on my fitness journey could be put to use in a new way. So I decided to launch "Farm Fit Training" on February 5th, 2021 - my own fitness program - in the middle of a pandemic. It was a bold move, but I felt like it was the right thing to do.

Looking back, I can see that God was preparing me for this moment all along. Even when I thought I was at my lowest point, He was shaping me into a person of strength and resilience. And by sharing my fitness journey online, I was able to connect with others who were going through similar challenges.

So if you're going through a tough time right now, remember that you're not alone. You have the strength to overcome any obstacle that comes your way. Believe in yourself, trust in your abilities, and keep pushing forward. Who knows - like me, you might just find a new opportunity in the midst of a crisis.
