If your kids love Cliff Z Bars as much as mine, and you wish to make your own with real food ingredients at home, this is your recipe!
I worked hard to perfect this recipe so it passed the "kid" test, and after many versions, it was finally kid-approved!
These bars last for 2 weeks in the fridge, or 1 week at room temperature, so they are the perfect snack to take with you on the go, or pack in lunch boxes!
I hope your kids enjoy these as much as mine, and you love that you now have a bar you can feel good about giving to your kids!

Why We Make Our Own Z Bars
If you've ever flipped over a Z Bar wrapper and checked the ingredient list, you know the feeling. It's not terrible, but you also know you can do better at home.
This copycat Z Bars recipe uses real food ingredients your body can actually recognize. Oats, honey, peanut butter, protein powder. No preservatives, no mystery ingredients, no "natural flavors" doing the heavy lifting.
They take about 15 minutes of active prep, and one batch gives you enough bars to last two full weeks in the fridge (or about a week at room temperature).
We make a batch every other Sunday and they go straight into lunch boxes Monday morning.
If you're tracking macros, these are easy to adjust as the base recipe is flexible.
